We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Respite Care Worker / Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to our adult daughter with cerebral palsy in her family home approximately 20 km south of Vegreville.

- Location: Private residence approximately 20 km south of Vegreville, Alberta (15 minute drive)
- Hours: 20-40 hours per week .
- Wage: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Providing companionship support
- Participating in recreational activities, and outings
- Supporting community participation, including shopping, appointments, events and other activities
- Driving to and participating in outings
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment
- Following established routines and care instructions
- Communicating with family members and others involved in the individual’s care
Qualifications and requirements:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities, personal care, respite care, health care or community support is an asset
- Ability to safely perform physical lifts and transfers
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle
- Comfortable driving the individual to community activities and appointments
First Aid/CPR certification and relevant education or training would be considered an asset.
A personal vehicle is required due to the rural location and the nature of the position. Mileage will be provided for work-related outings.
