Position Overview:
All Things K9 Training is seeking a motivated and passionate individual for a Dog Trainer Internship. This position offers real-world, hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and behavioral needs. Only one internship position is available.
What You Will Learn:
- Obedience training techniques
- Canine body language and communication
- Behavior modification strategies
- Proper socialization and group management
- Client handling and coaching skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead trainers during classes, daycare, and private sessions
- Support training plans and behavior programs
- Handle dogs safely and professionally
- Observe and learn assessment and training methods
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about working with dogs
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
- Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Interested in pursuing a career in dog training, behavior, or animal care
- Previous animal experience is an asset but not required
Compensation:
Compensation is negotiable, based on experience and availability.
