We are currently seeking an experienced Group Fitness Coach to join our growing team.
Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and knowledgeable coach who can confidently lead engaging, results driven group fitness classes focused on strength training, resistance training, conditioning, and overall physical performance.
The ideal candidate understands how to create an exceptional class experience while coaching proper movement mechanics, fostering accountability, and building strong relationships with members.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique fitness environment and values community, coaching excellence, and member success.
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging strength and resistance training classes for various fitness levels
- Coach proper exercise technique and movement mechanics
- Provide clear cueing, modifications, and progressions
- Create a motivating, inclusive, and welcoming class environment
- Ensure member safety and engagement throughout each class
- Arrive prepared, professional, and on time for all scheduled classes
- Build positive relationships with members and contribute to overall gym culture
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism within the training space
- Collaborate with management and fellow coaches to support member retention and facility growth
Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Kinesiologist, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of group fitness coaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of resistance training principles, exercise technique, and movement mechanics
- Confident public speaking and class leadership skills
- Ability to coach multiple participants safely and effectively in a group environment
- Friendly, professional, and community oriented personality
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required
- Experience in strength training, functional fitness, athletic performance, bootcamp, or small group coaching is considered an asset
Compensation
$25 to $40 per class based on experience, certifications, coaching ability, and overall qualifications.
