About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & Accounts Receivable / Billing Administrator for a 2-month contract position. This part-time role is ideal for someone with experience in payroll processing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and general administrative support.
The successful candidate will help ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, customer invoices are issued promptly, payments are tracked, and account balances are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review employee hours, payroll records, and supporting documentation
- Ensure payroll deductions and remittances are completed correctly
- Maintain confidential employee payroll information
- Assist with payroll-related inquiries as needed
Accounts Receivable & Billing
- Prepare and issue customer invoices
- Process billing adjustments and credits when required
- Monitor accounts receivable balances
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue accounts
- Record customer payments and reconcile accounts
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
Administrative Support
- Assist with monthly reporting and reconciliations
- Support finance and office administration tasks as required
- Maintain organized digital and/or paper records
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in payroll processing and accounts receivable / billing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with accounting or payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Wagepoint, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities within limited weekly hours
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience in a small business or office environment is an asset
Schedule
- Approximately 10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule, to be arranged with the successful candidate
- Additional hours may occasionally be available depending on workload
Contract Details
- Temporary 2-month contract
- Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week
- Start date: August 17 - October 16, 2026
