Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst V / Business Application Analyst to join an enterprise technology team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will act as a Learning Application SME and lead, supporting the migration and ongoing management of a new Learning Management System (LMS). You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendors to analyze requirements, support application changes and ensure the learning application is reliable, secure and aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Learning Management Systems and enterprise applications, along with a solid background in business analysis, application support, stakeholder management and Agile delivery.
Duties
- Act as the Learning Application SME/Lead for application strategy, delivery, performance, access, data availability and data integrity.
- Support the migration and implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS).
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements and translate business needs into effective application solutions.
- Support application configuration, incident triage, escalations and day-to-day operational activities.
- Manage application changes, releases and deployment activities.
- Support bulk data loads, data governance, data integrity and data lifecycle activities.
- Participate in testing, UAT and validation of application functionality and changes.
- Provide SME input into business cases, SRS, project documentation and enterprise initiatives.
- Work with business partners to identify process improvements and system changes.
- Manage relationships with internal technology teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Support risk assessments, controls, privacy requirements and application compliance activities.
- Participate in enterprise programs and projects as the Learning Application subject matter expert.
- Monitor application issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate technical and business teams.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, processes, application functionality and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including backlog refinement, planning, user stories and stakeholder discussions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Application Analyst or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) / Learning Applications.
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- Workday Learning
- Cornerstone
- SumTotal
- Degreed
- Strong experience in application management and application support.
- Experience with incident triage, escalations, application configuration and release/change management.
- Experience with data loads, data governance and data integrity.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with UAT, testing and implementation.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in an enterprise environment.
Nice to Have
- Workday Learning experience is highly preferred.
- Learning technology certifications.
- Experience working with large enterprise organizations.
- Experience with HR, Talent Management or Learning applications.
- Knowledge of application integrations, data flows and enterprise data management.

Pay: $75.32-$79.46 per hour
