Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bulk Truck Delivery Driver for Propane to join our team. This role involves safely transporting propane in bulk via large trucks to various customer locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and customer service. This position offers an essential service in energy delivery and requires a dedicated professional capable of handling the physical and operational demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate propane delivery trucks, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload propane tanks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Deliver propane to residential, commercial, or industrial customers accurately and on schedule
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and fuel records
- Perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on trucks and equipment as needed, including automotive repair tasks
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to assist with loading and unloading cargo
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures during transportation and delivery processes
Skills
- An active Class DZ license with a clean drivers abstract
- Minimum 3 years driving experience is required
- Experience with commercial driving, especially in transporting hazardous materials such as propane
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for bulk transport
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers
This role is vital for ensuring the safe, efficient delivery of propane services while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
