Snowcrest Foods is a fast growing packing plant specializing in frozen fruits and vegetables packing. We are currently located in Abbotsford, B.C. We are seeking a Unionized Sanitation Lead Hand to join our team.
Hours of Work:
The majority of hours may be from 10:30pm to 7:00am daily. This may vary as required to cover slight changes to the schedule. The successful applicant must be available for weekend work when required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years Sanitation experience, preferably as a Lead Hand
- In depth knowledge of SQF programs
- Ability to understand company procedures and SOPs
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be a team player
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to develop and implement sanitation programs
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating staff to complete all daily sanitation checklists
- Performing daily sanitization of all packaging lines
- Completing daily sanitation reports
- Performing routine cleaning tasks in preparation for audits
- Ensuring that quality checks are completed satisfactorily
- Be the liason between Management & sanitation staff
Base pay is $23.34 per hour with a $2.00 an hour premium for Lead Hand
