Overnight Delivery Driver / Merchandiser
Full-Time | 5 Days Per Week | Overnight Shift
I'm looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join my bread delivery route. This is a full-time overnight position delivering bread products to restaurants and grocery stores throughout the route.
Please note: this is an overnight job, so you must be comfortable working overnight hours on a regular basis.
This is a fast-paced position that involves preparing orders, loading the truck, making deliveries, and merchandising a couple of grocery stores on certain days of the week.
What You'll Be Doing
- Organizing and preparing orders at the depot before heading out on the route.
- Loading the delivery truck with bread products.
- Driving a 24-foot Hino 268 box truck.
- Delivering bread products to restaurants and grocery stores.
- Restaurant deliveries are simple drop-offs: deliver the order, pick up any empty trays, and move on to the next stop.
- Delivering larger orders to grocery store customers.
- Merchandising two No Frills locations on Mondays and Thursdays only. This includes stocking shelves, rotating products, and keeping the bread section looking full and organized.
- Building good relationships with store managers and staff.
- Keeping the route running efficiently and on schedule.
- Return truck to depot once all deliveries are complete and empty it out for next day.
What I'm Looking For
- Valid driver's licence.
- Comfortable driving a box truck (experience is an asset but not required for the right person).
- Reliable and dependable.
- Able to work independently.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage time well.
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading trays throughout the shift.
- Someone who enjoys staying busy and can work well in a fast-paced environment.
