Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Flat Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of flat roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. Prior construction or handyman experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Duties
- Assist with the installation and repair of flat roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
- Prepare work sites by cleaning and setting up materials and safety barriers
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing integrity of roofing systems
- Use carpentry skills for framing, trimming, or other related tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
Experience
- Prior construction experience preferred, especially in roofing or carpentry
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and caulking guns
- Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is advantageous
- Handyman experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to roofing and construction sites
