Alongside a co-program coordinator plan and implement Medeba's Summer Program including scheduling, themes, games and campfires!
- At least 3 years experience at summer camp specifically in a cabin and/or program role.
- Plan and implement Medeba's Summer Program ensuring a fun, safe, meaningful, and creative program.
- Create and design a weekly theme that ties in with the general program.
- Program and coordinate opening and closing days.
- Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures.
- Ensure that the program deliverables are on time, within budget and of high quality.
- Create a detailed work plan and schedule with identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully create the program.
- Plan and order material for program activities.
- Work with the Offsite Coordinator to schedule transportation for offsite trips.
- Review and prepare standard lesson plans for activities.
- Determine the resources required to complete the program.
- Ensure summer staff are equipped and oriented into the summer program.
- Lead a team of program coordinators.
- Engage and invest time and energy into the Program Team via team building and training.
- General office work as needed to implement the program.
- Assist with Staff Training Week as needed.
- Ensure Risk Management is followed.
- Participate in designated weekly small group.
- Set a high standard of behaviour in all aspects of daily life and set the example as a senior summer staff member.
- Be apart of Medeba's Summer Leadership Team by attending and participating in weekly meetings and supporting the team.
Age Requirement: 20 years old
Honorarium: starts at $290/week
Length: 12 weeks
