Duties
- Perform comprehensive body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment using specialized tools and techniques
- Conduct welding and fabrication work to repair or customize vehicle frames and body parts, utilizing MIG, TIG, or arc welding methods
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to shape, cut, grind, and assemble vehicle components
- Assess damage accurately to determine necessary repairs and parts replacement, ensuring adherence to safety standards
- Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly during repair processes while maintaining quality control throughout
- Lift heavy vehicle parts safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury and ensure precise repairs
- Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background demonstrating hands-on technical skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures, systems, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, screwdrivers, and wrenches; familiarity with power tools including grinders, drills, and saws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or awkward vehicle parts
- Experience with automotive welding and fabricating techniques required for structural repairs or custom modifications
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes combined with mechanic experience for comprehensive vehicle restoration
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a busy workshop environment
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
