Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational support to the human resources function, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting workforce planning and staffing decisions.
- Oversee departmental priorities and key initiatives, ensuring projects are executed effectively and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead the implementation, optimization, and transition of HR programs, systems, and processes.
- Promote employee engagement and support initiatives that contribute to a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace environment.
- Manage recruitment activities, ensuring a positive candidate experience and maintaining effective communication with hiring managers and external recruitment partners.
- Partner with operational leaders to provide guidance on workforce planning, scheduling, staffing requirements, employment legislation, attendance management, and employee relations matters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices that support organizational needs and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, with the ability to quickly assess priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting operational or production-based workforces, with a strong understanding of workforce planning and employee relations in fast-paced settings.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while effectively managing competing priorities, delegating responsibilities, and driving initiatives to completion.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience utilizing human resources information systems (HRIS) and related technology platforms to support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and workforce reporting.
- Flexibility to support business operations outside of standard business hours on occasion.
- Strong knowledge of applicable employment legislation, workplace policies, and human resources best practices.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive employee matters with profession
