Williams and White is a custom machine and fabrication shop that has been in business since 1957. Currently we are looking for experienced machinists to join our team.
We are looking for machinists for our 3/4 axis CNC Mills, Lathes and Grinding machines. Experience with CNC horizontal boring mills, vertical turning centers, conventional mills and lathes, surface grinders is expected.
Responsibilities Include:
- Run CNC vertical mills.
- Run CNC Lathes.
- Select tooling and set up methods to produce parts in the most efficient manner.
- Prove programs.
- Inspect machined components.
- Teach and instruct junior operators/apprentices/machinists.
- Work alongside the other machinists to maintain the machine tools and equipment.
- Work with Operations and Estimation staff to decide on processing methods.
- Promoting and upholding the Williams and White quality systems.
- Ensure a safe working environment in our shop.
Experience Desired:
- 5+ Years of CNC machining (turning and/or milling)
- Experience working with a wide range of materials and parts sizes (fabrications, forgings and raw stock; sizes from 5lbs to parts in excess of 10,000lbs; materials include carbon and stainless steels, aluminium)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T's in a must.
- Experience working various measuring tools.
- Experience working with Mastercam.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 machine shop
- Experience working with solidworks, .STEP, .dxf files or similar CAD systems.
