The Brake Operator is responsible for CNC braking/forming, and PEM insertion with helping the laser operator as well.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience in a fabrication environment
- General knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality assurance
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders to determine which tasks are done and which ones still need to be completed
- Read and interpret drawings and work orders to determine important information critical to the task being performed (such as material, quantity, specific instructions, etc.)
- Set up and operate CNC brake presses and rollers.
- Set up, operate, and/or tend machines, such as shears, saws, drills, to cut, bend, roll, and drill.
- Transport raw materials and finished metal products by manually moving parts around the shop either by hand, cart, or forklift
- Clean work area
- Clean or lubricate equipment and replace parts as required
- Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete
