Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator specializing in Painting & Coatings to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate project estimates, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring the successful bidding process for various construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry, utilizing your expertise in estimating and project management to contribute to our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for painting and coatings projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Utilize estimating software such as Procore to develop precise bids and proposals.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments.
- Assist in developing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bid submissions, and project documentation for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials or techniques relevant to painting and coatings projects.
Skills
- Engineering degree, engineering technology diploma, construction management diploma, or related technical education.
- 3–5 years of estimating experience in construction, painting, coatings, industrial, or related trades.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and tendering procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with construction estimating software is an asset ideally Procore .
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
