Job Title: Wells Analyst
Location: Calgary, AB

Our client is seeking a Wells Analyst to support regulatory reporting, data management, and lifecycle tracking of wells from license acquisition through to reclamation. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, the ability to manage high-volume work, and a solid understanding of regulatory processes in a fast-paced environment.
What's the Job?
- Submit required drilling and completion information to the regulator, including frac data and well logs, in the appropriate formats.
- Accurately record key well lifecycle elements and updates in internal systems to support corporate reporting, insurance, and decision-making.
- Maintain and update well files throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all records are current and compliant.
- Submit abandonment data (downhole and surface) to regulatory bodies and ensure proper system documentation.
- Manage reclamation processes by recording certificates and updating well file statuses to reflect end-of-life stages.
- Process and update well status changes, including start-ups and suspensions.
- Receive, file, and submit well testing data in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Track and manage contractual obligations, including the exchange of technical data with partners.
What's Needed?
- Certification in Petroleum Land or technical training related to wells or drilling operations.
- 7–10 years of experience in well reporting, well technician roles, or Drilling & Completions support.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and well licensing processes is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey regulatory requirements, timelines, and processes.
