Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Class 1 Owner Operators to work on a mixture of short haul and city operations.
Short haul lanes will require only being away from home one night at a time with city hauls being mixed in where you will be home every night.
Short haul lanes are dedicated routes where you will immediately return with no waiting for a reload. This provides our owner operators with a very predictable return schedule to better balance their family life.
Compensation
Our drivers are professionals and are paid accordingly.
For this position, owner operators are paid as follows:
Short Haul Lanes
- A per mile rate for every mile driven at a top industry rate of $1.40 per mile.
- Empty miles are also paid
- A fuel subsidy bonus is also paid is paid on every mile driven
- Additional waiting time at pickup or delivery locations is also paid by the hour so the owner operator is fully compensated for his/her time.
- A license/insurance bonus premium is paid should owner operator have their own insurance and plates.
- Fuel cards are available to Owner Operators to purchase fuel at our heavily discounted rate
City Operations
- Are paid at $40 per hour for every hour worked including waiting time.
- Fuel cards are available to Owner Operators to purchase fuel at our heavily discounted rate
- City operations consist mainly of waiting time and not driving time (all of which you are paid for). As a result, fuel burn is extremely limited - thereby increasing profits for our owner operators.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of class 1 driving experience
- Valid Class 1 license
- Able to communicate effectively in English
