Position Summary
Valhalla Medical Pharmasave is an integrated pharmacy and medical clinic built to serve the roughly 25% of residents within our catchment area who currently have no family physician. We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our founding clinical team and lead a comprehensive primary care practice, spanning walk-in care, family medicine, addiction and substance use services, sexual health and PrEP, travel medicine, and chronic disease management, inside a modern, turnkey clinic at 50 Gibbs Road.
This role begins as a part-time position (16–20 hours per week) with a genuine path to full-time engagement as the practice grows. It is an opportunity to practice at the full scope of your license from day one, backed by an on-site pharmacy team, digital health tools, and an ownership group committed to long-term investment in your growth.
Position Details
● Engagement Type: Independent Contractor, 16–20 hours per week (with potential for increased hours)
● Compensation: $60–$75 per hour (depending on experience with a generous performance bonus for the right candidate
● Location: 50 Gibbs Road, Etobicoke, ON (on-site)
● Anticipated Start Date: October 15 – November 15, 2026
Key Responsibilities
● Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care across walk-in and rostered family medicine visits
● Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions independently
● Build and grow a rostered patient panel, with a focus on unattached and underserved patients
● Lead or support expanded clinical programs including addiction & substance use care, chronic pain management, sexual health & PrEP, travel medicine, and chronic disease management
● Collaborate closely with the on-site pharmacy team and physician(s) to coordinate integrated, continuous care
● Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliant billing practices
● Identify opportunities to expand services and improve outcomes for a medically complex patient population
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
● Registered Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
● Primary Health Care or Adult NP certification preferred
● Experience or strong interest in family medicine, walk-in care, addiction medicine, or chronic disease management
● Comfortable practicing autonomously while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
● Genuine commitment to serving complex, often underserved patients, including those connected to affordable housing in the community
● Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing with an expanding healthcare platform
● Availability for 16–20 hours per week with flexibility to grow into a full-time role
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60–$75/hour (depending on experience), with a generous performance bonus for the right candidate
This rate reflects the GTA private integrated clinic market and is competitive with comparable NP roles in the region.
Future Billing Pathway
Ontario has not yet implemented a standardized OHIP billing framework for Nurse Practitioners. When that changes, Valhalla is committed to transitioning to a split-billing or hybrid compensation model for the right candidate.
