Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations within our bustling food service environment. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supervising team members, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures using Micros POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with customer service issues promptly to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Enforce restaurant policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.
- Support team development through coaching on food industry best practices, hospitality standards, and leadership skills.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant setting.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles including serving, bartending (Barista experience is a plus), or hotel experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated team management skills including interviewing and training new staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards within the food industry.
