Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of one of our Independant Living homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of group home environments, person centered care, and assisted living. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while maintaining a supportive and efficient work environment for staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of direct support professionals to ensure optimal resident care.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents, particularly those with intellectual disabilities.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage budgeting and resource allocation for the department to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and satisfaction to enhance service delivery.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in care practices.
- Collaborate with your team, families, healthcare professionals, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff performance, and facility operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a group home or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's licence -Novice 2 or greater
- Vehicle
- Ability to work different shifts including days, evenings, overnights and weekends to fit the operational needs of the group home.
- Ability to be on call 24 hours a day for emergencies
- Strong knowledge of intellectual disability care practices and medication administration protocols.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a group home or vocational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate approach towards care with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
- Relevant certifications in Disability Support are desirable.

Pay: $25.35-$29.39 per hour
