Redwood Plastics and Rubber is looking for a reliable Rubber Liner to work afternoon shift at our production facility in Langley, BC. As our Rubber Liner, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe and high-quality rubber lining of steel fabrications, wheels, tank interiors, valves, pipes and similar products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting inspections and quality control processes on their own work and/or other jobs in the workshop.
Responsibilities
- Properly adjust machines to correct setting as required, lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly in a safe manner.
- Keep records for quality and inventory purposes.
- Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products
- Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind or buff rubber products into final form
- Clean and maintain work area as needed or as required by the maintenance schedule
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience as a Rubber lining Technician with knowledge Rubber Lining Applications, Rubber Lining Equipment and safety procedures preferred
- Able to operate power tools in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- A positive, 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn, working both in a team and independently
- Enjoying an adaptable work environment
- Ability to problem solve and detailed oriented
- Effective communication skills
