We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Google Cloud Engineer to join our innovative cloud solutions team. Responsibilities
- Participate in project planning activities. (Meetings, Status reporting, Off-hour Implementations, Change requests, Functional testing, etc.)
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage (S3 equivalent), Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud SQL.
- Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure high availability and streamlined deployment processes.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools to provision and configure cloud resources efficiently.
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and web services for seamless application delivery.
- Maintain security best practices by configuring Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption protocols, and compliance standards across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware, and Citrix.
- Monitor system performance using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to operating systems (Linux/Windows), virtualization platforms, databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle, NoSQL solutions, and application development frameworks including Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js,.NET.
- Stay current with emerging cloud computing trends such as Internet of Things (IoT), SaaS/PaaS/IaaS models to recommend innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to support cloud-native application delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with 3 years gained on Google Cloud Platform
- Proven experience in designing and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a strong understanding of its core services.
- Hands-on expertise with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker for deploying scalable applications.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Solid knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Citrix environments.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go or Ruby for developing automation scripts or application components.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments involving AWS and Azure alongside GCP for integrated cloud architecture solutions.
- Experience working within Agile development teams utilizing SDLC methodologies for continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
- Excellent understanding of network security concepts including VPNs, firewalls, REST APIs, web services security protocols.
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues across operating systems (Linux/UNIX/Windows) in virtualized environments.
