Boston Pizza Cornwall is looking for a dependable, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations, support our team, and maintain strong service standards.
This role is ideal for someone with restaurant leadership experience who is calm under pressure, organized, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of the floor, staff, guest experience, and daily execution.
We are not just looking for someone to “cover shifts.” We are looking for a steady leader who can help build structure, consistency, and accountability in a busy restaurant environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house flow, guest experience, staff supervision, and shift execution
- Help manage scheduling, labour control, attendance, and shift coverage
- Coach and hold team members accountable to service, cleanliness, timing, and brand standards
- Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved quickly
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
- Work closely with ownership and management to improve consistency and team performance
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and organized workplace
- Lead by example during busy service periods, weekends, evenings, and peak times
What We’re Looking For

- Experienced in restaurant, hospitality, or food-service leadership
- Reliable, organized, and consistent
- Comfortable holding people accountable in a fair and professional way
- Strong with scheduling, communication, and shift management
- Calm during pressure and able to make practical decisions quickly
- Hands-on, not afraid to jump in where needed
- Focused on service standards, team discipline, and guest satisfaction
- Looking for a long-term leadership opportunity, not just a temporary job
Requirements
- Previous restaurant management, assistant management, supervisor, or shift-lead experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Smart Serve certification, or willingness to obtain it
- Boston Pizza or franchise restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
