Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across various facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic environment that meets health and safety standards, providing a positive experience for clients and staff alike.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial or industrial settings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks
- Conduct facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
- Use custodial supplies and cleaning agents appropriately to ensure thorough sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed to support cleaning operations
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures during all cleaning activities
- Maintain organized storage of cleaning tools and supplies for easy access and inventory control
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or building occupants
- Effective communication skills for reporting issues or coordinating with team members
- Exceptional time management abilities to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical strength and stamina
- Attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards consistently
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
