Overview
Intermissions Sports Cafe will be opening their next location inside Cole Harbour Place in September and are looking for front counter staff to join the team.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders at the front counter, ensuring a friendly and engaging experience
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards, maintaining quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems
- Manage food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure all food handling meets health regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, dining space, and food preparation zones in compliance with sanitation standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide excellent service to foster loyalty
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while multitasking efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience in cashiering or cash handling with accuracy in math calculations
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and food industry standards
