ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you love working with kids and making learning fun? Build Academy STEM is hiring Program Leaders to deliver hands-on LEGO-based STEM programs in schools, camps, and community centres. You’ll inspire curiosity in children ages 4–15 through creative, educational building experiences — no two days are the same.
YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
- Set up and deliver fun, curriculum-aligned LEGO STEM programs based on your lesson plan and build theme
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before each program; coordinate with school office staff and follow all site procedures
- Request a school announcement before lunch, visit classrooms to notify participants, and learn the site’s emergency exit plan
- Take attendance and report any missing students to the office to confirm their presence at school
- Lead the build activity, facilitate a student presentation, celebrate creations, and dismiss when the bell rings
- Take quality photos of student builds and email photos, attendance sheet, and a brief post-program report to [email protected]
- Sanitize LEGO bricks regularly; perform a full machine wash monthly
- Pack up all supplies and take them with you at the end of every program
- Driving is a MUST to transport supplies to and from programs.

- Reliable and fully committed — once confirmed via Google Calendar, shifts are yours to own for the full program duration
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in school environments and following site protocols
- Interest in STEM, creativity, or hands-on learning is a strong asset
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle — programs are delivered across multiple locations
- Must be able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check prior to working with participants
