One of our divisions, Capital Precast, is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Labourer/Rebar Tying (Multiple Positions)
Capital Precast is currently looking for several seasonal full time Precast Labour for the immediate hire for our location at 2800 TransCanada Highway and 260 East White Hills Road, St. John's.
Duties
· Ensure a clean/Safe work environment in precast plant, such as shoveling, sweeping, cleaning pre-cast forms, etc.
· Safely operate power tools, saws, drills,
· Interpret shop drawings to assembling forms including cutting/smoothing lumber to ensure spec is met.
· Assist with tying rebar and pouring of concrete.
· Disable forms when concrete is cured.
· Other duties as assigned
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Work in Precast building majority of the time
Qualifications:
· Must be able to read shop drawings and built precast forms.
· Preference will be given to applicates with previous experience and training in this field
· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
· A work record that demonstrates a commitment to work and good attendance
· Communicate and work well with others in a team environment.
· Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
