Pay Rate
Wages are based on certification level and field experience:
3rd Year Apprentice: $28.00 – $32.00 / hr
4th Year Apprentice: $32.00 – $38.00 / hr
Licensed 313A Journeyman: $45.00 – $53.00 / hr

The Role
Full-time field technician working on commercial refrigeration and HVAC accounts across Hamilton and surrounding area. You will work alongside an experienced lead technician on service, maintenance, and installation work.
We are open to a licensed 313A journeyman or a motivated 3rd or 4th year apprentice. If you are near the end of your apprenticeship and looking for a company that will support, you get licensed — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Service and repair commercial refrigeration systems — walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Service and maintain commercial and residential HVAC systems — rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, and boilers.
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and residential accounts.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation shared across the field team — premium pay applies.
- Complete work orders accurately using ServiceTitan field service software.
- Represent Fox professionally with customers on every job site.
What We’re Looking For
For a Licensed 313A Journeyman:
- Valid Ontario 313A Certificate of Qualification — Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
- Minimum 3 years of field experience post-certification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
For a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice:
- Currently registered in a valid Ontario 313A apprenticeship program — proof of registration required.
- Hands-on field experience in commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC
- Motivated to complete certification and build a long-term career in the trade.
Required for All Applicants:
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Professional attitude with customers on every job site
- Willingness to participate in the after-hours on call rotation.
