Overview:
Position Summary
The Internal Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between the Service Department and internal dealership departments such as Sales, Used Vehicle, Warranty, and Parts. This role ensures that all internal repair requests are documented accurately, communicated efficiently, and completed in alignment with OEM standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at coordinating multiple internal workflows in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities

Manage and process all internal service repair orders for new and used vehicles.

Communicate effectively with Sales, Used Vehicle, Parts, and Service teams to coordinate repair needs and timelines.

Document repair requests clearly and ensure accuracy of all internal repair orders.

Prioritize internal work to support sales delivery deadlines, reconditioning schedules, and dealership workflow.

Review technician recommendations and ensure proper documentation of required repairs.

Coordinate parts availability, approvals, and follow-ups to avoid delays in reconditioning or delivery.

Monitor repair progress, provide updates to internal departments, and ensure timely completion of work.

Verify completed work for accuracy and quality before closing repair orders.

Ensure compliance with OEM standards, warranty regulations, and dealership policies.

Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements for internal service activity.

All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications

Experience in an automotive dealership environment; service or internal advisor experience preferred.

Strong understanding of repair order processes, reconditioning workflow, and vehicle service fundamentals.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross functional teams.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and OEM service platforms.

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
-
Automotive or business-related education or certification is an asset.
