You’ll work alongside a seasoned Surgeon and a board-certified Anesthesiologist, with an experienced team and advanced surgical equipment supporting both orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. Our purpose-renovated facility is expanding its specialty services, creating opportunities for you to contribute to the development of the surgical department and help meet the needs of our growing referral community.
With two fully equipped surgical suites, extensive VOI instrumentation and orthopedic implants, arthroscopy capabilities, and a dedicated anesthesia team, you’ll have the tools and support to practice high-quality surgery while enjoying a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Balance consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures while maintaining a schedule that supports both excellent patient care and your desired work-life balance.
- Perform orthopedic and soft tissue procedures using advanced surgical equipment, including arthroscopy and LigaSure vessel-sealing technology.
- Manage complex surgical cases in collaboration with Emergency, Anesthesia, and other referral services.
- Utilize extensive orthopedic instrumentation and implants to deliver high-quality surgical care.
- Work alongside an experienced Surgeon and board-certified Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative patient care.
- Help strengthen and expand the hospital’s surgical service as additional specialty offerings are developed.
- Mentor and collaborate with the veterinary team, contributing to a culture of teamwork, learning, and clinical excellence.
- Support referring veterinarians and pet owners through clear, compassionate communication throughout the surgical process.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for veterinary licensure in Ontario.
- Board Certification in Surgery or completion of a Surgery residency.
- Strong surgical skills and an interest in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
