I own a cleaning business and am looking to hire for an evening/night cleaning position for a commercial client.
Job Description:
Each cleaning job will include:
- An industrial kitchen: cleaning all surfaces, removing garbage, putting away dishes, sweeping and mopping floors
- Public washrooms: cleaning sinks, countertops, paper dispensers, toilets, stall walls and doors, and urinals.
- Tables and chairs: cleaning, piling and moving chairs, cleaning and moving tables.
- Floor cleaning: sweeping and mopping an expansive wooden floor, using a floor buffing machine.
- Vacuuming entryway carpets, coatroom, and office.
- Cleaning windows and glass doors at the entryway.
This job has sporadic hours, with a schedule given a month in advance. Shifts may be added or removed as the space is needed. Shifts begin in the evenings; some start at 4pm, others at 8pm or later. Each shift is 3-5 hours, working with one other person (myself) or solo.
Other tasks you might be asked to do include:
- Watering plants outside the building.
- Picking up stray garbage in the parking lot.
- Taking garbage to the large bins outside.

- The ability to lift 20-50lbs;
- The mobility to bend, kneel, walk, stretch, lift, pull, and climb stairs through a full shift;
- A strong stomach regarding mold, garbage, human waste, sweat, urine, and strong smells including cleaning products, old homes, and the environment;
- The desire and ability to stay committed to this job for at least one year.
Note:
