421 Heavy Equipment Technician (Shop & Field Service)

Our client, a well-established Canadian equipment company with nearly half a century in business, is looking to add a Licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Technician to its growing service team.

While the role is primarily shop-based, you'll also have the opportunity to perform occasional field service work throughout the GTA and, from time to time, support customer sites across Canada.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain cranes, boom trucks, telescopic handlers, and industrial lift trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs ranging from routine servicing to major component repairs
- Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and prepare new equipment for delivery
- Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and powertrain systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment
- Complete work orders accurately and maintain detailed service documentation
- Travel to customer sites throughout the GTA for field service work as required
- Occasionally travel to customer and mine sites in Atlantic Canada (fully expensed)
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Technician
- Experience repairing heavy equipment, cranes, lifting equipment, construction equipment, or industrial forklifts
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Own a basic set of tools
Compensation & Benefits:
- $45.00 – $55.00/hour, based on experience
- Day shift hours (40+ per week - overtime available)
