Duties & Responsibilities:
o Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings to determine machining operation to be performed
o Compare manufactured product to specifications – visual and dimensional layouts
o Operate, and maintain variety of machine tools including calipers, micrometers, an optical comparator (shadowgraph), pin gauges and go / no go gauges, vision measurement system
o Establish, improve, monitor manufacturing methods, and machine process controls
o Design tools in CAD, and build End of Arm Tool Automation using Solidworks Software
o Set up and program machine tools (design work cell layout) for machining tool operators
o Participate in the annual Internal Quality Audits with Quality Assurance Engineer
o Complete and maintain reports applying statistical analysis
Requirements:
o Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Assurance Management
o 2-3 years of work experience in machining / manufacturing setting
o Experience in the Automotive industry, specifically tooling, product and process development
o Experience with Engel and Nissei injection molding machines
o Experience using design software, Solidworks, and designing work cell layouts
o Experience launching new programs and defining processes for tools
o Experience participating in Internal Quality Audits and projects related to quality and continual improvement
o Experience developing and monitoring process controls
o Proficient in computing dimensions, determining deviations from specifications, reading dimensional layouts to compare manufactured products to specifications
o Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and GD&T
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
o Great attention to detail
o Must be flexible to work overtime as required
o Must maintain excellent attendance and commit to working scheduled shifts
o Must be a team player and possess a positive and professional attitude towards work and others
o Fluent in English, written and oral

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
