Northern Repair Ltd. is hiring a 2nd or 3rd year Welder to join our welding and fabrication division. We’re seeking a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work and thrives in both shop and mobile/field environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural and component welding on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and custom projects.
- Use MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes with various materials (mild steel, aluminum, stainless).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication layouts.
- Fabricate brackets, mounts, guards, and custom parts using shop equipment (plasma cutters, benders, etc.).
- Assist in on-site repairs and mobile welding service calls.
- Follow safety procedures and complete work to industry standards.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years welding/fabrication experience in industrial or heavy-duty environments.
- Proficiency in MIG and stick welding; TIG experience is an asset.
- Strong layout, measuring, and blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred).
- CSTS and First Aid tickets are an asset.
