We are a private high school located in Markham, Ontario. Our school offer high school credit courses and supplementary after-school tutoring programs to Grade 9 to 12 students in English, French, Math, Science and Arts. We strive to provide students a positive and encouraging environment at our school. Currently we are seeking full-time and part-time teachers for subjects in English and Social Science.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing daily lesson plans and unit plans for courses
- Teaching and explaining concepts on the course materials
- Maintain and record appropriate marks and comments for each student
- Evaluating students' quizzes and final examinations
- Assigning and marking students' exercises
- Inspire students to learn, possess an engaging and interactive teaching style
- Evaluate and review student progress and help students improve their performance when needed
- Maintain appropriate methods of assessments and evaluation consistent with Ministry of Education guidelines and school expectations
- Cooperate with school administrators or other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices in the school
Qualifications and Skills
- OCT Certified teachers are prefferred
- Experience working with students in small classes would be an asset
- Outstanding expertise in specified subject area(s) in English or Liberal Arts
- Teacher's College candidates and postgraduates considered for tutoring programs
- Able to help students with diverse educational background and learning abilities
- Possess excellent communication and organization skills
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and self-management
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
