Position Summary
The Cribber/Finisher is responsible for performing high quality carpentry work tasks. This role requires expertise in framing and general construction practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong craftsmanship, attention to details and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
General
· Placing and finishing concrete surfaces such as slabs, walls, sidewalks, curbs and curbs & gutters using standard pouring methods
· Tying rebar
· Erecting and striping forms (Cam-locks, Aluma, PERI systems) and complete sidewalks & barrier curb, curb and gutter forming.
· Assisting with site prep, concrete pours, finishing and demolition work as required.
· Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard.
· Performing physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Carpentry Duties
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications for rebar and formwork layouts.
· Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood and other construction materials.
· Construct and repair walls, floors, side walks and cubs and structural components.
· Perform framing, blocking and general carpentry tasks as required.
· Perform cribbing tasks such as camlock systems and rebar installation
Finishing Duties
· Complete detailed carpentry work to meet project specifications and quality standards
· Install architectural details, decorative chamfer and specialty finishes
· Ensure all finish work is level, plumb, square and aesthetically consistent
Identify and correct finishing deficiencies before project completion.
Qualifications
· Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent industry experience
· Minimum 3-5 years of cribbing/finishing experience
· Good understanding of concrete properties, finishing techniques, and curing processes
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
