Job Overview
We are looking for a morning baker to join our team at Doe Coffee! As a baker at Doe Coffee, you’ll prepare high-quality dough for our pastries and baked goods, ensuring consistency and excellence in every batch. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baking and eager to contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix dough according to established recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all ingredients are measured accurately and mixed thoroughly for optimal results.
- Monitor product consistency, adjusting ingredients as necessary to achieve desired texture.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in the baking process, ensuring that all baked goods are produced efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with the head baker and other team members to meet daily production goals.
- Package finished products for sale, ensuring proper labelling and presentation.
- Assist with inventory management and inform the bakery manager of any shortages or quality concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using a dough sheeter.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
- Availability to work early mornings, with flexibility for part-time or full-time shifts.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for food preparation and commitment to delivering high-quality products.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
