Our warm and vibrant optometry clinic in Waterloo is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our dedicated team! We can't wait to meet you!What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Make:As an Optometric Assistant, you'll be on the front line of creating a positive patient experience and supporting our Optometrists in delivering high-quality care. Your role will involve a blend of clinical, administrative, and customer service duties:
- Be the Welcoming Face: Greet patients with a smile, manage calls, and ensure a positive experience from the moment they walk in the door.
- Support Patient Care: Conduct preliminary testing for the optometrist. Learn and use modern diagnostic equipment, such as OCT scanners and fundus cameras, to capture important patient data.
- Keep Things Flowing: Manage appointment scheduling, process billing and insurance claims, and maintain organized patient records.
What We're Looking For: We're interested in your positive attitude and desire to learn!
Previous experience in a healthcare or optometry setting is an asset, but not required – we offer comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate!
