Summary
The Coordinator, Business Development plays a critical role in enabling broker growth and supporting Strive’s sales team during a broker’s early lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of onboarding, sales enablement, and relationship management—ensuring new and developing broker partners are set up for success, supported consistently, and confidently transition into productive, engaged Strive partnerships. This is an ideal role for someone early in their business development or sales career who is highly organized, relationship-oriented, and eager to grow into more advanced broker-facing responsibilities over time.

- Identify and onboard new Canadian mortgage broker partners.
- Deliver virtual onboarding, training, and act as go-to resource for lending policies, niche products, and submission best practices.
- Explain policies and product details clearly so brokers understand how and when to submit files.
- Serve as the first point of contact for broker questions related to policy, deal structuring, and submission readiness, working with underwriting as needed.
Pipeline & Revenue Development
- Drive early loan production through consistent outbound outreach and follow-up with newly onboarded brokers.
- Maintain regular touchpoints to keep Strive top of mind during the early production stage.
- Manage new broker relationships from onboarding through defined volume or tenure milestones.

- Work closely with sales, underwriting, and funding teams to resolve issues and improve turnaround times.
- Contribute to strong internal coordination and continuous improvement of the broker onboarding and early-production process.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but relevant industry experience is equally valued (B2B sales, account management, underwriting support, or a related role).
- Comfort working with mortgage tools and platforms such as Filogix, Finmo, Velocity, or similar systems, along with hands-on CRM experience.
- Strong communication skills—you’re confident on the phone and comfortable explaining lending policies and deal details in a clear, practical way.
- A self-motivated, results-driven mindset, with the ability to manage high-volume outreach and stay organized in a structured sales environment.
- A solid understanding of the regulatory landscape; a provincial mortgage agent license (such as FSRA) is an asset.
