We are looking for an experienced full-time permanent Ultrasound Technologist to work in our Independent Health Facilities located North York. We offer competitive wages as well as a $10,000 signing bonus

Role Competencies:
Include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Greets the patient, explains the forthcoming test, positions the patient and generally prepares him/her for the examination.
- Observes the patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summons medical aid when necessary
- Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.
- Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
- Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
- Obtain patient medical history
- Operate diagnostic imaging Ultrasound machines
- Perform Safety and sanitary procedures after each test on the equipment
- Maintain adequate supplies
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Candidates must be current members of CAMRTO
- Must be graduates of The Michener Institute, Fanshawe College or Mohawk College.
- Ability to perform several types of general ultrasound examinations on various types of ultrasound equipment i.e. MSK,ABDOMEN, PELVIC, TV, BREAST, THYROID & OBSTETRICS early and late.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- 3- 5 years of related experience
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training
- Demonstrate effective decision making skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
