Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman/woman to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive civil engineering drawings, schematics, and plans that support construction projects from conception through completion. Your expertise in drafting software and civil design principles will be instrumental in translating technical concepts into clear visual representations, ensuring project accuracy and efficiency. Duties
- Develop detailed civil drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
- Prepare 2D drafting layouts for civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and site layouts.
- Review and modify existing drawings to incorporate project updates or corrections with precision.
- Assist in creating 3D models and visualizations to support project presentations and planning.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all drafting documents and revisions for easy access and reference throughout project phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience in civil drafting with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, or SolidWorks.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles including schematics, site planning, grading, drainage design, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with construction processes and on-site practices to ensure practical application of drawings.
- Ability to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of drafting standards and industry codes relevant to civil engineering projects.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Additional skills in 2D animation are a plus for creating dynamic project presentations.
