Overview
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily kitchen operations, support food preparation and service, and ensure adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will also have FOH bartending and supervising experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service.
- Manage food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Support food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of menu items.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork among staff.
- Handle customer service issues related to the kitchen area, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Assist in controlling Food Cost and BOH labour.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to serve guests professionally.
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems is a plus.
- A passion for the food industry and delivering exceptional customer service.

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
