We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time DZ Driver/Warehouse Assistant
Your role as a DZ Driver/Warehouse assistant includes the following:
- Safely operate a 26'' automatic truck making short-haul deliveries within 100 km radius of Guelph, while providing excellent customer service.
- Load/unload and inspect cargo as required and ensure safety and security of all cargo (use of manual pump truck).
- Receive and relay information to team leader as required.
- Exhibit highest level of professionalism in all client interactions.
- Accurately perform daily pre-trip, en route and post-trip vehicle inspection reports and complete driver logbook.
- Oversee ongoing condition of vehicle and monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years general, local driving experience with Full G license and a minimum of 2+ years experience driving AZ/DZ commercial trucks with an AZ/DZ or equivalent license.
- Hardworking, flexible, common sense, “can-do” attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent attendance record and strong work ethic.
- Follow specific and detailed instructions with accuracy and precision.
- Clean driver’s abstract, CVOR and verifiable references are required.
- Observe safe driving practices.
- Must be physically fit to perform all job duties, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to push and pull a pump truck throughout the day and use a tailgate at times, when loading/unloading freight.
- Assist in Warehouse as needed.
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
