About the Position
The Clinical and Operations Pharmacy Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of medication management services.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate drug distribution workflows to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.

Monitor and manage medication inventory, including procurement, recalls, shortages, and expiration.

Contribute to formulary management, drug use evaluations, and clinical policy development

Conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance, and address performance-related issues.

Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment through coaching and mentorship.

Monitor key performance indicators and participate in budget planning, variance analysis, and financial oversight.

Lead and support quality assurance programs, workload measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with OCP Hospital Pharmacy Assessment Criteria, Accreditation Canada standards, and internal policies.

Ensure pharmacy practice standards and regulatory requirements are consistently met in accordance with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA), Accreditation Canada, and other applicable professional and regulatory bodies.

Participate in the development and evaluation of pharmacy programs, services, and policies.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience

Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists

Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy standards (OCP, NAPRA, CSHP)
- Experience working with electronic health record clinical software applications
- Experience in the medication reconciliation process.

Working knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy, including knowledge of medication safety risks in health care.
- Experience or familiarity in pharmaceutical research in health care settings.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care processes including medication reconciliation, care planning, and interdisciplinary consultation.

Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy services

Proven ability to manage drug distribution systems, inventory, procurement, and medication safety processes.

Skill in overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and inventory management.

Ability to ensure adherence to OCP, Accreditation Canada, and other hospital pharmacy standards.

Familiarity with budgeting, financial oversight, and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including patient counselling and team communication.

Skilled in mentoring pharmacy learners and leading teams in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.

Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands.

Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and external partners to improve patient care.

Ability to lead investigations, manage incident reporting, and implement medication safety and emergency preparedness plans.

Self-directed and committed to continuous learning, innovation, and professional development.

Ability to lead, mentor, and support pharmacy staff to ensure a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Language Requirements

English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.

Salary Range:
65.08 to 75.44 per hour
