Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Barn Receiver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory intake, and supporting efficient barn operations. This role is vital to maintaining a smooth slaughter process within a fast-paced environment. Prior large animal handling experience and a familiarity with production operating systems are highly valued.
Duties
- Receive and unload incoming shipments of cattle, lambs and goats, ensuring proper animal handling protocols.
- Verify shipment accuracy against data entered into the system , utilizing Matrix management systems.
- Record received items accurately in Matrix, maintaining precise inventory data.
- Organize and place animals in designated barn locations, supporting efficient order picking and processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Support inventory counts as needed to ensure stock accuracy.
Skills
- Experience handling large animals.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (like Matrix.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our production operations team, supporting seamless logistics functions through skilled handling of livestock and inventory management.
Pay: $22.50-$24.50 per hour
