About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, safety-minded Skid Steer Operator to perform residential snow removal for our customers during snow events. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean driveways, careful property handling, and dependable work—even in challenging weather. This is a casual position ( when it snows)
Responsibilities
- Use a skid steer to clear snow from residential driveways and walkways (as needed)
- Operate equipment safely, including maintaining control on slick surfaces
- Provide clean, complete snow removal while avoiding damage to property (garages, landscaping, fences, etc.)
- Keep accurate notes of job completion
- Communicate clearly with customers/dispatch about arrival times and progress
- Maintain basic equipment readiness (checking fuel, attachments, and ensuring gear is ready)
Requirements
- Be able to get to Stonewall MB during a snowstorm on time
- Be able to come in on short notice
- Experience operating a skid steer in snow conditions
- Hand shovel steps and sidewalks
- Ability to work as needed during snow events
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to lift/handle snow tools/materials as needed
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- References or proof of prior experience (required)
- Familiarity with snow removal best practices for residential properties
- Knowledge of common driveway/sidewalk clearing methods and avoiding surface damage
- Availability for weekends and holidays ( required)
- Living in Stonewall would be an asset
Schedule
- Typical shifts: 5:30 am - 6:00pm
- Hours vary depending on weather
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
