The Project Accountant manages day-to-day accounting and billing operations with a focus on organization, accuracy, and timely follow-up. This position is ideal for someone with foundational accounting knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize, track, and maintain accounts payable documentation and workflows.
- Organize and manage the payables process, ensuring invoices and supporting documents are complete and properly filed.
- Maintain Schedules of Values (SOVs), including rolling forward prior-month SOVs to the current month.
- Update SOVs to include approved change orders and ensure alignment with project and contract records.
- Following up with clients for payment
- Coordinating with vendors payment schedules
- Identify and flag vendor or client billing discrepancies, missing documentation, or inconsistencies.
- Coordinate with internal team members to resolve billing and payables issues.
- Manage billing preparation and month-end accounting activities.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Perform general accounting and administrative support tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in the Construction Industry, Millwork or related is preferred, but not required
- High degree of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers, cash flows, budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent team player and demonstrates strong leadership
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers and external customers

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
