We are seeking a reliable and experienced a 5-Ton Delivery Driver/Yard Associate to join our team. As a Delivery Driver/Yard Associate, you will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations using a variety of vehicles. In the Yard you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers and contractors find and load their products.
The delivery driver / customer service associate is responsible for delivering products/or supplies to customers, vendors, jobsites, or other corporate locations throughout the Okanagan. Duties include operating freight handling equipment, maintenance and operation of company vehicles, verification of administrative paperwork, providing excellent customer service and working with the public at large. The delivery person must safely perform all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to avoid adverse impact on the level of customer service.
Responsibilities:- This position is responsible for the speedy and safe fulfilment of the following:
Safe delivery of Shepherd’s products with a customer satisfaction attitude
Checking and confirming order loads, details, and location for delivery of products
Communicating with customers, other drivers and dispatch about deliveries
Delivering product to customers using a company vehicle to designated locations
Available for other duties and task assigned by the managers
Qualifications:
A professional driver with class 5 (or 3) who takes their safety, equipment, and compliance seriously.
Driver’s abstract with no suspensions.
Driving and road knowledge of local area in the Okanagan is essential
Drivers who want to maximize their hours, but still make it home to their families at the end of every day.
This is a hybrid role for 5 ton Delivery truck driver/ Yard associate. What that means scheduling maybe in both departments depending on departmental needs.
