DZ Class Night Driver
Pay: $28.02 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM
Requirements: Minimum 2 years of DZ or AZ driving experience
About Cardinal Couriers
Cardinal Couriers is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. This position is responsible for loading orders into an assigned company vehicle and following a predetermined route to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that requires driving, lifting, lowering, and carrying packages to ensure damage-free delivery and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete pick-ups and deliveries throughout the night to support pre-8:00 AM parcel availability.
- Load and unload freight through repetitive lifting and handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
- Submit all required documentation accurately and promptly to the Night Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and business partners.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario DZ or AZ driver's licence in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of DZ or AZ commercial driving experience.
- Clean Ontario Driver's Abstract and CVOR.
- Clear criminal record check.
- Previous warehouse shipping and receiving experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Organized, reliable, and safety-focused.
