InnovOak School is seeking exceptional Daily Occasional Supply Teachers to join our growing team.
Due to continued enrolment growth, we are expanding our supply teacher list and are seeking a small number of outstanding educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to maintaining high expectations for student learning.
Unlike many schools, InnovOak views its supply teachers as an important part of the school community. We regularly hire from our supply list as part-time and full-time teaching opportunities become available. This position provides an excellent opportunity for educators interested in becoming part of a growing independent school and demonstrating their teaching abilities within our classrooms.
The successful candidate will:

Deliver prepared lessons while maintaining continuity of instruction.

Build positive relationships with students from PreKindergarten through Grade 12.

Maintain a safe, organized, respectful, and productive classroom environment.

Support high academic expectations and positive student behaviour.

Follow lesson plans while adapting instruction to meet student needs when appropriate.

Communicate effectively with teachers and school administrators regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times as assigned.

Represent InnovOak professionally at all times.

Be available for occasional, short-term, and longer-term supply assignments.

Ontario College of Teachers certification or eligibility for certification is strongly preferred.

Bachelor of Education completed or in progress.

Applications from both experienced teachers and exceptional new graduates are encouraged.

Experience teaching in elementary and/or secondary classrooms is considered an asset.

Experience with independent schools, Cambridge curriculum, Singapore Mathematics, structured literacy, or enriched academic programming is considered an asset.
